Welcome to Purple Ciphers
Hello and welcome! This is a site dedicated to historical cryptography (sending secret messages). I build free, web-based simulators so people can use them without prior computer coding experience. This site is always in progress and although it's realatively small now the plan is to expand it to include many more ciphers.
- PURPLE Cipher Machine
- a Japanese diplomatic cipher used during World War II. Broken by the US SIS. Also called Angooki Taipu B or Type B Cipher machine.
